Sunrisers Drum & Bugle Corps, Rockland County, NY

Founded in 1954, the Sunrisers Drum & Bugle Corps is an all-age drum & bugle corps from Rockland County, NY that competes in the Drum Corps Associates competitive circuit and provides its members with an intensive education in the marching arts.

The Sunrisers success in competition is fueled by a strong work ethic and a dedication to the pursuit of excellence. This has resulted in the Sunrisers earning seven DCA World Championships and 32 appearances in the DCA World Championship Finals competition since 1966. In 1999, the corps was honored by being named "The Corps of the 1980's (Senior)" by the World Drum Corps Hall of Fame.

The Sunrisers have a proud history of innovation,tradition, pride and excellence. We were the first DCA corps to introduce mallet instruments, contra bass bugles, an all-female color guard and a female brass soloist in DCA competition.
