"WHY WEB STANDARDS?"Written By: THOMAS W. POHL
DECEMBER 7, 2005 IntroductionWhy should you use web standards in your web design? The reason is that web standards were designed to over problems which occur during the browser wars in the 1990's. Why Should Designers Use Web Standards?Using web standards not only makes designing websites easier for the web designer, but it also has other benefits. Since web designers no longer have to write custom script for various web browsers, this reduces the page weight and makes the file sizes smaller and consequently, faster loading. Using web standards also ensures that websites will be better prepared for new technologies as they emerge without having to completely redesign a website as in the past. ConclusionCybervision Web designs websites using the latest web standards as instituted by the World Wide Web Consortium (W3C). |
